Another Year Passeth By ...

I was trying to add onto the lines for last year ...

Another year passeth by,
We grow older
You and I

I betray it
Grave looks
And taciturn ways

You hide it
A pensive front
Cloaking vacuous days.

Wrote this last year...

Another year passeth by,
We grow older
You and I

I betray it
Stray wrinkles
And wisps of grey

You hide it.
Maturity
On ponderous display...

To clear the air...

The Me is me
The You is too
Two sides of a coin
Or just a different view ...

Good poetry..is it Haiku?

@Cecilia: No.. it isn't .. wasn't a conscious effort to make it sound like one too...

most importantly, how did you get rid of the wrinkles? ;)

Look at it this way.... since both of them are you, the time warp when the two exist at the same time would be an ideal time to party hard (31 dec maybe! :D), then you can blame it on the other guy...depending on who you are ;)

yep wrinkle free screts please

@manuscrypts: I just try and switch to being the other guy...

@epiphany: Hmm.. overdose of calvin?

@san:First try the local cosmetics guy of course... then maybe use the transmogrifier of calvin and hobbes fame ....
